Emily is a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about helping others work towards their health goals through nutrition and lifestyle changes. Emily’s focus is working in areas such as weight management, diabetes, heart health, cancer, and sports nutrition. She has experience working as a clinical dietitian in the hospital and providing nutrition counseling at outpatient programs including a medical weight management program. Emily completed her undergraduate degree in Nutrition at the University of Nevada, Reno and her dietetic internship at California State University, Sacramento. She is currently working towards completing her master’s degree of Science in Nutrition with a concentration in nutrition and sports at Texas Tech University. She has a certificate of training in obesity for both pediatrics and adults.
She grew up on an organic farm where she spent many years farming before moving to the Tahoe area several years ago for the skiing. She lives in Truckee, CA and enjoys spending time in the mountains by skiing, mountain biking and hiking with her dogs. She also plays ice hockey and loves cooking and traveling.
