Denice Hynd comes to Tahoe Forest from San Diego, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Foods and Nutrition at San Diego State University. While in San Diego, she worked for The University of California San Diego (UCSD) Moores Cancer Center where she spent thirteen years disseminating nutrition education to participants enrolled in various population health studies. Later, Denice earned a graduate certificate in dietetics from Iowa State University and is on track to complete her Masters in Public Health from South Dakota State University in Spring of 2021. Through her Masters in Public Health, Denice will have earned a second graduate certificate in Trans-disciplinary Obesity Prevention.
Denice's career goals are to improve health outcomes of underserved populations through education, motivation and empowerment. She is a huge asset to our community, as she speaks English and Spanish fluently, being able to help a wider population of patients.
In her spare time she enjoys paddleboarding with her husband and two boys.
