Dr. James M. Nachiondo, MD, joined Tahoe Forest Health System in March 2023. As a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist/hepatologist, Dr. Nachiondo provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide variety of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, and is skilled in performing endoscopic procedures and colonoscopy exams.

Dr. Nachiondo attended medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Nachiondo is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Nachiando obviously did his homework on me before we met. He knew/remembered even the most minute details of my case. It was pretty impressive given I know how many patients he sees. I thought, "how does remember all that!" That inspires huge confidence that I'm with someone who is committed to putting in the work to provide the best care. I want smart doctors who put in the time to understand all the details of my case when they see and that's him!
