Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation is constantly seeking ways to support the Hospital in achieving its vision to be the best mountain community health system in the nation. For our Foundation, this entails understanding a variety of health issues facing our community and setting goals that increase local access to care. Whether we are purchasing lifesaving equipment and technology, like the 3D Mammography, or are giving funds to support the new Mental and Behavioral health program at the Hospital, we always want to ensure that we are meeting the healthcare needs of our community.
It was so wonderful to see many community members at this year’s Best of Tahoe Chefs! It was a powerful evening and an incredible send off for our longtime Cancer Center Medical Director, Dr. Larry Heifetz. Dr. Heifetz’ vision and tenacity helped create our incredible Cancer Center, and we are so thankful for his leadership and wish he and Dr. Palmer a very happy retirement.
Our Foundation is happy to welcome two new Foundation Board members, Alicia Barr and Rich Molsby! We are thankful for their service and dedication to ensuring that exceptional healthcare will always exist right here in the Tahoe Truckee community.
