A Glidescope is a video device that helps specially trained health care providers view a patient’s airway during endotracheal intubation. If a patient is suddenly unable to breathe freely while in the care of emergency department personnel, health care providers can utilize the Glidescope to assist in performing this procedure.
This crucial device will assist the Tahoe Forest Hospital meet the necessary criteria for becoming a Level III Trauma Center.
