On Wednesday, Sept. 11, several valued Tahoe Forest Health System physicians and more than 60 donors gathered at the Truckee River Winery for a Donor & Physician Celebration! We joined together to celebrate what we have all accomplished together and learn more about the long-term plan of the Health System.
Harry Weis, Tahoe Forest Health System President & CEO, began the evening with a moment of silence in honor and respect of September 11. Harry recognized and thanked all the physicians who were in attendance at the winery for their service to our community.
Dr. Jeff Fountain, Radiologist at the Tahoe Forest Health System, explained why he came to Truckee to practice and how the Foundation has provided state of-the-art equipment to the health system that many rural facilities cannot afford, which includes the Hologic 3D Mammography Technology. As the evening came to a close, Judy Newland, Tahoe Forest Health System’s Chief Operating Officer, discussed the health system’s strategic plan and vision, which includes increasing access to both primary and specialty care services for our entire community.
