Mark your calendars for #GivingTuesday at the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation – November 30, 2021!
This #GivingTuesday, an annual giving movement that is celebrated around the world, the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation is supporting an incredibly meaningful cause, the Annalise King Hall Fund. Founded by the Hall family, this fund was created shortly after the couple experienced a stillbirth. With the desire to help families who faced this same kind of profound loss, the groundwork was laid for a supportive fetal demise program. Proceeds have provided the Joseph Family Center for Women and Newborn Care team important tools and training to assist families with bereavement support. Money raised has sponsored vital initiatives like the Human Breastmilk Project, the purchase of a cuddle cot, provision of comfort packages for grieving families, and the delivery of advanced perinatal monitoring systems.
If you would like to support your community, our nurses, as well as honor Annalise’s legacy this #GivingTuesday, please consider donating to our Annalise King Hall Fund. With a matching gift of $7,500 from the Hall Family, our goal is to raise the remaining $7,500 to purchase a Neonatal Resuscitation Device for the Joseph Family Center for Women and Newborn Care.
In the United States, 10 percent of all newborns need some intervention at birth, and 1 percent will require extensive resuscitative measures. As a result; at every birthing location, including Tahoe Forest, personnel who are adequately trained in neonatal resuscitation should be readily available to perform neonatal resuscitation whether or not problems are anticipated. Being prepared is the first and most important step in delivering effective neonatal resuscitation. The “RQI” simulation-learning technology helps maintain high-quality skills, giving healthcare providers a chance to practice treating patients in virtual, lifelike situations providing immediate evidence-based feedback. The repetition and feedback helps our staff achieve greater consistency and provide a higher quality of care, improving patient outcomes.
For every gift of $25, your name will be entered into a drawing to win a Tahoe Local Epic Season Pass (ex. $100=4 entries)! To learn more about the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation #GIVINGTUESDAY campaign, visit www.tfhd.com/givingtuesday.
