Katie was born and raised in the Chicago land area. She fell in love with the mountain life and relocated in the beginning of 2023 to Truckee with her husband and three children. She went to nursing school at Hope College in Holland Michigan obtaining a BSN degree. She spent the beginning of her nursing career as an Emergency Room Nurse in the West Side of Chicago. From there she started her Oncology career at Rush University Medical Center as a Supportive Oncology and Infusion Nurse. She joined the Oncology team at Tahoe Forest in 2023.

Katie loves to spend her free time snowboarding, hiking, and waterskiing with her family.
