Eric Martineau, DPT
Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation
Profile
Eric is originally from San Diego, California and obtained his BS in Biological Sciences from California State University of San Marcos. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He began his career as an outpatient physical therapist for John Muir Health, a large hospital system in the San Francisco Bay Area. He worked with patients across the lifespan, and developed expertise in the evaluation/treatment of balance/vestibular disorders, neurological conditions, and orthopedic conditions/athletic injuries. After relocating to Nevada, Eric worked for Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance in Reno, NV. He continued to build on his knowledge of both orthopedic and neurological conditions in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Eric holds advanced certification in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) and Movement System Impairment Syndromes (MSIS). He also has training in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and the Kinesio/Rocktape taping methods. Eric is a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. Eric’s favorite part about being a physical therapist is the relationships he builds with his patients as well as the opportunity to help them develop the tools they need to overcome their “diagnosis”.
In his free time, Eric enjoys time with his wife and two young sons. On weekends, you can find him fishing, hiking, mountain biking, or working on vehicles (of all kinds). Fun fact, Eric is an identical twin and his twin is a physical therapist, too.
