Nanette grew up on a ranch in Northern California, where she developed a lifelong love of animals. She graduated with a BA in Journalism from Pepperdine in Malibu. After spending a decade in Malibu and Santa Monica, Nanette moved to the Truckee/Tahoe area and has lived here for 25 years.

Her great-grandfather built a cabin on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe more than 100 years ago, and it remains a family vacation spot to this day. She’s had numerous careers, most recently as the Animal Programs Manager at the local Humane Society. In her free time she loves to cook, read, and hike with her two rescue dogs.
