Barb has lived and worked in the Truckee/North Lake Tahoe area for most of her life. As an Olympic Valley native, she spent most of her childhood skiing and enjoying the outdoors. Barb attended Truckee High School before earning her Bachelor’s degrees in Exercise Physiology and Psychology at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Barb is married with two children, both of whom are grown and living overseas.
After many years managing an Urgent Care clinic in Truckee, in 2015 Barb joined the staff at Tahoe Forest as a Systems Analyst in Patient Financial Services. In 2017, she joined the staff at the Cancer Center. Barb describes working in Oncology as the best job she has ever had. “There is no better job in healthcare than working in the field of Oncology. The unique challenges and rewards of working with cancer patients is an experience like no other. Working alongside such a talented and dedicated team while having the opportunity to positively impact a cancer patients’ journey is truly a privilege. I love the work I do and am grateful to work for such an amazing organization.”
Barb enjoys the small mountain community of Truckee/Tahoe and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Her favorite things to do include skiing, hiking, yoga and hanging out at the beach. She is an avid book reader and aspiring international traveler.
