Tahoe Forest Health System puts temporary visitor restrictions in place for COVID-19 (coronavirus) Prevention

Tahoe Forest Health System (TFHS) is monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak closely, working with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as county and state health agencies and other regional hospitals for the latest developments.

The COVID-19 situation is being continuously updated, and like many other healthcare organizations, we have implemented enhanced infection prevention practices for the safety of our community and staff members.

Limited Visitation

We understand the importance of our in-hospital patients having the support of friends and family, but at this time due to COVID-19 concerns, we are limiting visitors.  Phone calls are encouraged instead to patients at Tahoe Forest and Incline Village Community hospitals.

Please do not visit the hospital if you have a cough, respiratory condition, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath or gastrointestinal symptoms.

Visitors and patients will be greeted and screened before entering the facilities by answering a series of questions about recent symptoms of respiratory or influenza-like illness to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and community.  Our clinic staff will ask additional questions to screen and triage potential respiratory illnesses at the time of scheduling and check-in at our clinic locations.  If you are experiencing respiratory symptoms (shortness of breath, coughing), please make the clinic staff aware.

Controlled Access

The main entrance and emergency room entrance at Tahoe Forest Hospital will be the only way for the public to enter the facility. For Incline Village Community Hospital, (IVCH) the emergency room entrance is the only open entrance for all services inside IVCH.

Please note the Pine Street Café is closed until further notice, and some health and wellness group classes and events are cancelled or may be offered virtually until further notice.  Please check the Center for Health Calendar on www.tfhd.com for details.
