Built by the community, for the community.

The Hospital began as a true community project when the need was recognized for a hospital on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. Because of the generosity and determination of community members, the Hospital opened its doors in September of 1981. In 1996, the Hospital became a proud part of Tahoe Forest Health System. Tahoe Forest is one of the top 100 critical access hospitals in the country, has achieved notable quality measures that demonstrate the highest patient safety standards, and consistently exceeds patient satisfaction ratings.

IVCH Foundation history

The Foundation’s History begins with Jack Cooke, whose great passion for his community led him in 2004 to gather the fellow community leaders who would form the Incline Village Community Hospital Foundation. Jack was a visionary who knew how to inspire people to work together for the good of the community. Jack’s vision for the foundation was to build on the expert level of care provided by Incline Village Community Hospital.
