Warren Kocmond is a 45-year resident of Incline Village and has served on the IVCH Foundation Board since 2010. He is the current Chair of IVCHF and also served in this position from 2015 -2017.
As a scientist, he served as Head of Atmospheric Physics at Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory and Executive Director, then Acting President, of the Atmospheric Science Center of Desert Research Institute (DRI). He left DRI to join Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), a navigation and avionics firm, as President and Board Chairman. SNC is currently the largest defense contractor in the state of Nevada. Later as CEO and Board Chairman of BG Radia, a high end residential and professional speaker company, he guided the growth and acquisition of BG Radia in 2015. Mr. Kocmond serves as a trustee of Sierra Nevada University (35 years) and currently heads the Academic Affairs Committee for the University.
He is married to Janet Pahl, a leading real estate agent in Incline Village and contributor to numerous community organizations.
