The Community Health Index (CHI) is how Tahoe Forest Health System will measure its progress in achieving the winning aspiration of the Community Pillar of the Strategic Plan.

The CHI aligns with the five priority areas identified in triennial Community Health Needs Assessments and includes a broad range of indicators that represent a healthy and thriving community. The CHI is built upon the understanding that no single organization can solve tough health problems on its own and community involvement is necessary to improve these health indicators. Our goal is to reach the nationally identified Healthy People 2030 Targets where indicated, or reach improvements of at least 5%, by 2029.

We encourage you to explore the CHI Dashboard so you may learn about how we are striving to support the health of our community.
