Dr. Robert Chase, Ear Nose & Throat Specialist, Offers Latest Technology For Diagnosing Head and Neck Disorders and DiseasesTahoe Forest Health System’s Multispecialty ENT and Allergy Clinic now uses the most advanced piece of endoscopy equipment for performing Laryngoscopy (larynx + scopy). The Olympus Endoscopy System is one of only a few such systems being used in medical facilities in the United States, and is offered locally by Robert A. Chase, MD, FACS.
Laryngoscopy is a medical procedure that is used to view the voice box, throat and back of nose. The laryngoscope is a small flexible endoscope that is painlessly inserted into either the mouth or nose, enabling the examiner to view the interior of the larynx.
“Our office now uses the latest and most advanced endoscopy equipment to diagnose disorders and diseases of the head and neck, including speech and swallowing disorders,” said Dr. Robert Chase, MD, FACS, Tahoe Forest Multispecialty Clinic. “It’s also exceptional for diagnosing and treating hoarseness and sore throats.”
Laryngoscopy is done right in the office if deemed necessary after an initial patient exam is completed. This highly specialized piece of endoscopy equipment makes looking inside a patient’s vapor respiratory and digestive tract easier and more efficient. In addition, in technical situations where the direct line of sight observation is not feasible, the new endoscopy piece of equipment aids in making a diagnosis.
